Sponsored by Max BMW, this dual-sport ride took 75 bikes through 150 miles of asphalt, dirt and gravel, and two-track forest trails. It was pretty awesome, and got my feet wet on the dirt. Unfortunately I didn't take too many pictures. I was having too much fun to stop.

I met Sam during registration and we decided to ride together. This ended up being good, not only because Sam's a good guy, but he had a GPS unit, which came in handy a few times. Must get one.

We stopped for lunch in this town (name?). Kind of looked like it could have been in Germany somewhere, which would be appropriate with all of the BMW's around.
The ominous clouds did produce some rain, but it wasn't too bad.
