Dirtbiking

The day after the dual-sport ride I was just all pumped up about riding motorcycles off road. So I convinced Matt that we needed to load his dirtbikes into the Rover and head out to Dicktown Road (seems like I like that place, huh?).

Very fun.

A little Quicktime movie of me going up a hill. Wheee...

A movie of Matt going up the same hill. Much faster. AND he pops a wheelie. Son of a bitch! Well, he's got a few years of dirt riding on me. Damn.

This is the spot where Matt wiped out. He avoided the first log on the trail, but hit the other one and went down.

This is why you should wear pads.
Like a real champ, after a little self applied first aid, he kept riding for a few more hours.

Mmmm... meaty.

We parked the Rover in the same spot that we camped at back in March. It looks much different now than it did back then. Oh, like, there's no snow on the ground and the trees have leaves. That's all.

The fire ring I put together was still there, and it looked as though no one else had used it.

Pretty, huh?

Enjoying a well-deserved beer.
