Russell Design is an exceptionally talented design studio. They specialize in environmental and print, as well as web, design, and do some very tight and compelling work.
They wanted to redesign their website and needed a way to easily keep it up to date. They came to me to integrate my
CMS and to build their website. We included some fun and interesting interactive elements, as well, without the use of Flash.
They were a pleasure to work with, both personally, and professionally.

"UNIFEM is the women's fund at the United Nations. It provides financial and technical assistance to innovative programmes and strategies to foster women's empowerment and gender equality."
They brought me in to help them invigorate their online presence and bring it more up to date. I brought in Sam and Stuart from RED as designers, as I knew their experience in the world of non-profit, and their keen sense of layout and design, would help deliver just the right thing.

I was brought into this project by the very talented designer
Jose Contreras, who had worked with the Public Theater, and Under the Radar, for a few years.
The Under the Radar festival is an international new-theater festival sponsored by The Public, and has grown to be an exceptional and well-received festival in the six years it's been in existence.
Working directly with associate producer Meiyin Wang, we produced a CMS-integrated website that allowed them to promote and organize their efforts online.

Brian Collins, titan of design and branding, led the brand and innovation division at Ogilvy & Mather for almost a decade, working with such iconic businesses as Unilever, Kraft, Mattel, Motorola, AT&T, Coca-Cola and American Express. He's a big-shot.
He also has a soul. And with that soul he works to help make the world a better place. Through "Designism: Design for Social Change," an annual forum to inspire young creative people to take active roles in social causes, and other organizations, he puts his time and expertise in on big-ticket issues.
He wanted a website, a blog, to give himself a venue for discussion and exposure of issues. He tapped RED to fulfill that desire. RED in turn brought me in. I pointed them in the direction of a Wordpress blog. As it is open-source it was easily customizable to suit Brians needs.

Gershoni brought me in to produce this functionally-unusual website for author, screenwriter and producer Noah Hawley. Functionally unusual, you ask? Just check it out. It employs a unique method of navigation that I haven't seen used before in a content-based website. I also created a custom content management system to allow for easy updates.

We were approached by Brigitte Lacombe — an internationally renowned photographer — to design and produce her website. She wanted a clean and modern design to showcase her work, which is what we do best. We also programmed the website in such a way that her assistants can easily update the portfolios themselves. We then gave them a tutorial to make sure they got it.

Joel Smoller received his PhD from Purdue University in 1963, and has been a faculty member at the University of Michigan ever since. He has held visiting appointments at a wide variety of places, including the Courant Institute, the University of Wisconsin, Harvard University, and the University of Paris. Recently he held the Rothschild Professorship at Cambridge University. He has been a Guggenheim Fellow and was awarded the Margaret and Herman Sokol Award (University of Michigan) for his research, as well as a Humboldt Fellowship to conduct research in Germany.
In January, 2009 he was awarded the George David Birkhoff Prize in Applied Mathematics "for his leadership, originality, depth, and breadth of work in dynamical systems, differential equations, mathematical biology, shock wave theory, and general relativity... Overall, his powerful intuition for innovative new directions and his forcefulness in cementing powerful collaborations have been emblematic of a career worthy of emulation."
He has worked on a diverse group of problems, including shock wave theory, symmetry breaking bifurcations, Yang-Mills equations, Dirac equations, and general relativity. His current interests focus mainly on shock wave cosmology in general relativity, and decay of solutions to the Dirac equation and wave equation in curved spacetime.
He's also my father, and I was happy to make a website for him.
